Kane County Cougars host their final home stand of the season! (Aloha Construction, Inc. Sponsors)
This Labor Day weekend, the Kane County Cougars host their final homestand of the season! As proud (roofing contractor) sponsors of the team, good luck this weekend! Play your heart out!! For those that don’t know, our local team is 69-62 with about 5 games left to play until the playoffs. The team comes out strong as they were the first-half division winner, so we have faith for a final push. While we are known as local siding contractors, we have a knack for baseball, so we wanted to share some stats…
With a game today, we see this team finishing the way they started. After all, this is a quality team. For instance, this year their team batting averages is at .250 with a .352 SLG. Also, the Kane County Cougars have one of the lowest ERAs in the Midwest League at 3.35 and their WHIP is close to league lowest at 1.22.
If you haven’t seen them this year and you want to catch them on their final homestand of the season, the festivities kick off with Star Wars Night on Saturday, September 2nd. Finally, they tear the house down with their last fireworks show of the summer on Sunday, September 3rd.
If you do head to the field, we keep an eye out on the following players:
- Marcus Wilson (CF) | Batting .295 with a .455 SLG and 9 home runs
- Mark Karaviotis (SS) | Batting .307 with a .411 SLG
- Ramon Hernandez (1B) | Batting .288 with a .420 SLG and 11 home runs
- Sam McWilliams (P) | 11-6 wins and losses with a 2.89 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP (131 Innings Pitched)
